Hyde Park

Kensington Palace and Winter Wonderland

Covering an impressive 350 acres (141 hectares), Hyde Park boasts many top attractions. Visitors can take a tour around nearby Kensington Palace in Kensington Gardens, the former home of Queen Victoria, and spend an afternoon boating on the Serpentine Lake. The Diana, Princess of Wales’ Memorial Playground is located in the northwest corner, while London’s Holocaust Memorial and the 7 July Memorial can be found in the southeast corner of the park. There are also guided walks for anyone wanting to know more about the park’s history and local wildlife.

Concerts and events are held here throughout the year. Come winter it’s the place to get into the Christmas spirit, with the spectacular Winter Wonderland, featuring an ice rink, children’s rides and a magical ice kingdom.

Hyde Park hotels also have great tube access, with Hyde Park Corner and Knightsbridge on the Piccadilly line, and Marble Arch and Lancaster Gate on the Central line.
